The importance of reimagining and retooling our broken food system cannot be overstated. This beautifully compiled volume contains a treasure trove of information from both prominent and lesser known figures in the ever-burgeoning sustainable food movement. It is abundantly clear that Norma Burnson has poured her heart and soul into this work. We all owe her a huge debt of gratitude for putting these issues front and center. If you care about what you eat, if you care about inequities in food distribution and the critical need for genuinely nourishing food, if you care about seed diversity, if you care about humanity and the future of our planet, this is a must read. Even if the revolution is not televised, you will be rewarded and nourished with many delectable morsels herewith.

The author is clearly an advocate for helping to feed the world's population through the Square Foot Gardening technique. I enjoy reading about her own history, as well as the history and Q&A sessions with numerous Sustainable Gardening experts/teachers. It was quite interesting reading the expert's opinions of SFG and it's future. It sounds like Square Foot Gardening is here to stay, in America and beyond.

The book was very easy to understand, even if you're not a gardener (like myself). Mrs.Burnson has agreat way  of putting words into context and makes reading about this topic enjoyable. I learned many new things, especially through the interviews.

This is a must-read if you're interested in becoming an advocate for self-sustainability or if you're a college student majoring in agriculture.

I look forward to more books from this excellent writer.
